Bursting the Bible Bubble - Allow me to share some points of truth

The Candid Tin Man will not shy away from controversy regardless of the implications. If it is truth then let it be said as truth. If it is not true, let it not be said as true. So when I stumbled upon a collection of contradictions in the Bible, I was excited. I was excited because subscribers to the Christian faith, based entirely on the accounts of the Bible will shy away from any assertions or allusions to the fact that the Bible may be erroneous and a human account of a Judaic time in History. Many readers will decide at this moment to not proceed to see exactly where the holes are in the good book. They would rather not. For them I pose this question: If the one person you trusted, a spouse for example, was cheating on you, would you want to konw? If there was information that would at least make it clear whether trust had been broken or not, would you want to consider it and to make the decision yourself?Well then, let me share just such information that puts to question the truthfulness of one of the greatest religions in the world! I am agnostic by choice, but if any person can make explanations to clear these "errors" I will be glad to hear them.

I never thought I would ever say this but I support the Police Spokesman, Dr. Eric Kiraithe’s position on the detention of an international Muslim cleric. I request that he passes my approval on to his boss the Police Commissioner, Mr. Iteere. I applaud you gentlemen. This time you have made the best of decisions for the sake of State Security to hold one vigilante in the name of Abdulla Al Faisal, a Sheikh known for his Muslim extremist teachings. The sheikh has not yet been taken to court but if there has ever been a time when I supported detention without trial, let today be that time. Keep the man behind bars lest Kenyans lose their lives in an attack akin to the 1997 bomb blast.

Laying to Rest the Day of Rest

The German Constitutional Court has forced Berlin to observe Sunday as a day of rest from work and spiritual improvement. While this may receive approving nods from a majority of Christians, some are beginning to call to attention the fulfillment of some Revelation prophesy about the conversion of the ‘day of the Lord.’ This is quite oxymoronic granted that the same constitution declares that Germany shall have no state religion. The move is now being viewed in some quarters as a demonstration that the ‘end of days’ is here with us.

Maina Njenga has been “saved”, but unfortunately, the country he helped rot has not. Not by a long shot. I had my reservations about the genuineness of his conversion to Christianity when I first heard about it. I suspected it was probably a publicity stunt designed to launch his political career or at least boost that of the Bishop who interceded for him. Listening to him testifying on Jeff’s bench, I begun to afford him the benefit of doubt.

Many times, I come out more knowledgeable about great Kenyan personalities and usually with a refined opinion of them. Yesterday, 25^th October 2009, it was Pastor cum Politician, Margaret Wanjiru on the Capital Talk hot bench. As expected, I did come out with further knowledge about her but this time, the rose carried quite a crown of thorns. I have reason to believe that she may be delusional.
